Margriet Slippens

Margriet Slippens is an experienced professional in the art and heritage sectors, currently serving as Secretaris Commissie Ruimtelijke Kwaliteit & Erfgoed at Gemeente Gooise Meren since November 2021. As the owner and creator of Candles & Bees since May 2020, Margriet specializes in crafting 100% beeswax candles, which are available on an Etsy webshop. Additionally, Margriet has owned and operated Magontha since September 2014, focusing on art history. Involvement includes serving as an Inventarisant for Stichting Interieurs in Fryslân, where Margriet documents historical interiors in Friesland, and previously managing Daatselaar Fine Art & Antiques from September 2013 to May 2020. Margriet holds a Master of Arts in Design and Applied Arts from Leiden University and a Bachelor of Arts in Art Studies from Utrecht University, complemented by various educational experiences in French language and antique practice.
