Thijs van Roon

Thijs van Roon is an experienced cultural heritage advisor and educator currently serving as a Beleidsadviseur Erfgoed at Gemeente Gooise Meren since October 2022, focusing on advising and developing policies related to built cultural heritage. Additionally, Thijs contributes to the cultural policy of Gemeente Zaanstad as a member of the adviespanel cultuur since August 2019. Previous roles include Projectleider & programmamaker at Architectuurcentrum Amsterdam, and Adviseur Beeld en Educatie for Nationale Monumentenorganisatie. Thijs has also gained experience in education as a Docent Art&Design 3D at Bonhoeffercollege and various other teaching positions. Thijs holds a Master in Museology from Reinwardt Academy and a Bachelor of Arts in Teaching Visual Arts and Design from Academie voor Beeldendevorming.
