Joost van der Geest

Joost van der Geest is an experienced professional currently serving as the Program Director for Resilient Neighborhoods at Gemeente Zwijndrecht, overseeing collaborative efforts to enhance resilience across 15 neighborhoods. Joost is also a member of the Supervisory Board at Stichting Gorinchemse Sportaccommodaties and has been a councilor for CDA Gorinchem since 2018, contributing to various committees and serving as an alderman focusing on mobility, economy, sports, public health, and the environment. Previous roles include Strategic Advisor for Sustainability at HVC, legal policy advisor for the Implementation of the Environmental Law in The Hague, and positions within local politics and educational policy development. Joost holds a Master’s Degree in State and Administrative Law from Radboud University.
