Geerte van Beek has extensive experience in social policy and project management, currently serving as a Teamondersteuner and Regionaal beleidsmedewerker maatschappelijke zorg at Gemeente Gouda since February 2020. Responsibilities include developing policy plans, coordinating with stakeholders, making regional decisions, managing subsidies, monitoring, and maintaining relationships with partners in areas such as homelessness and societal care. A notable achievement includes the implementation of a new approach to homelessness in 2023, developed in collaboration with experts and partners. Previously, Geerte worked as an Adviseur Sociaal Domein at BMC Implementatie, where responsibilities included traveling nationwide for assignments and events. Prior roles include project-related positions at the Belastingdienst, FGH Bank, and Cell-Life, with early experiences gained in various support roles. Geerte holds a Master of Science in Cultural Anthropology and a Bachelor's degree in Sociology from Utrecht University, along with recent educational pursuits in public speaking and continuous professional development.
