Marleen Sanderse

Marleen Sanderse currently serves as Burgemeester at Gemeente Hattem since September 2020. Prior experience includes roles such as Statenlid for the CDA at Provincie Noord-Holland, and Adjunct-afdelingsmanager Stedelijk Beleid at Gemeente Almere. Sanderse also held positions as Wethouder at both Gemeente Gooise Meren and Gemeente Naarden, overseeing various portfolios including public health, housing, transportation, and culture. Extensive early career experience includes leadership roles in community engagement and an athletic background as a Paralympic rower. Sanderse holds an MCA degree from the Nederlandse School voor Openbaar Bestuur and a Drs in Bestuurskunde from the University of Twente.
