Tim Smit

Tim Smit is a seasoned professional in social policy and strategic governance, currently serving as the Manager of Social Policy and the Coordinator for governmental collaboration at Gemeente Nijkerk since September 2023. With extensive experience as a chairperson and presenter at various events focused on young civil servants and local governance, Tim has also played key strategic roles at Gemeente Stichtse Vecht, providing advice to the council and managing complex projects. Previously, Tim was the national chair of FUTUR Jonge Ambtenaren Netwerk and held various positions within municipal governments, including Amersfoort and Emmen. Tim holds multiple degrees in Sociology from the University of Groningen and has completed various programs focused on political skills and social domain development.
