Maarten Willems is an experienced architect and advisor in spatial quality, currently running MaartenWillemsArchitect since April 2017 while also serving as the chair of the WML Architectural and Monuments Commission in Leiden. With a diverse portfolio including roles in multiple municipal committees focused on spatial quality across various municipalities, such as Schouwen-Duiveland and Wageningen, Maarten has contributed to numerous local architectural discussions and decisions. Prior experience includes a long tenure at De Twee Snoeken and serving as a village architect in Borsele. Maarten holds degrees in Architecture from the Academie van Bouwkunst Tilburg, and in Construction from Hogeschool 's-Hertogenbosch, complemented by an early education in MTS Helmond.
