Leon Wessels

Leon Wessels currently serves as the Programmaregisseur Economie en Vrijetijdsbesteding at Gemeente Twenterand since May 2023. Prior to this role, Leon held various positions at CLARIN ERIC from July 2016 to April 2023, including Programme Manager and Secretary to the Board, as well as Project Coordinator. Between October 2015 and June 2016, Leon worked as a Freelance Research Assistant for Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, Utrecht University, and private clients. Leon's earlier experience includes serving as an Academy Assistant at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam from January to August 2015 and working as a History Tutor at Teach-Inn from 2006 to 2011. Leon obtained a Master of Arts in Research Master History and a Bachelor of Arts in Pre-Master History from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, as well as a Bachelor of Education in History Education from Windesheim.
