Doenja Peeters

Doenja Peeters is an experienced policy advisor specializing in social domain issues and integration laws. Since June 2021, Doenja has served as Beleidsadviseur inburgering en Participatiewet at Gemeente Uithoorn. Prior to this role, Doenja worked at Duo+ from February 2018 to May 2021 as Adviseur sociaal domein, facilitating connections between policy and implementation for the municipalities of Diemen, Uithoorn, and Ouder-Amstel. Earlier experience includes roles at BMC Implementatie, where Doenja focused on social security policy across various municipalities from February 2015 to February 2018, as well as interim positions in municipalities such as Soest and Gouda, addressing minimum policies, debt assistance, and the Participatiewet. Doenja holds a Master’s degree in European Policy from the University of Amsterdam and a Bachelor’s degree in European Studies from the same institution, along with a minor in International Development Studies.
