Femke Roodbergen is a seasoned professional in spatial development, currently serving as Project Leader for Spatial Development at Gemeente Westerkwartier since January 2019, focusing on the design and realization of the new residential area Oostindie in Leek. Previously, Femke held a similar role at Gemeente Leek from January 2002 to December 2018, overseeing urban design and construction for a new neighborhood featuring 1,100 homes and various amenities. Prior experience includes working as an Urban Planning Advisor at Grontmij Nederland from 2000 to 2002, and as a Housing Market Consultant at Boelens Jorritsma Groep from 1996 to 2000. Femke holds a master's degree in Social Geography with a focus on Urban and Regional Planning from the University of Groningen, completed in 1995, and has a strong foundational education from Praedinius Gymnasium Groningen.
