Hein Van Der Loo

Hein Van Der Loo is the current Mayor at Gemeente Zwijndrecht. Prior to this, they held various positions at different companies. From 2006 to 2013, they were the Director of Institutes & Charitas at ABN AMRO MeesPierson. In this role, they were responsible for strategy and business development. Hein also oversaw the acquisition of new customers, digitalization, marketing, and communication.

In 2010, Hein became the Program Director at INSEAD. Hein held this position until 2016. During their time at INSEAD, Hein was responsible for the strategic positioning of One Private Bank in West Europe. Hein also worked on the omni-channel service in Germany, which was a milestone in the company's digital ambition.

From 2014 to 2017, Hein was the Managing Director at ABN AMRO Bank N.V. In this role, they were responsible for an international change program within Private Banking. This included workstreams for products, processes, systems, and culture. Hein was also responsible for the sale of non-core activities.

Hein has also been involved with Diergaarde Blijdorp - Rotterdam Zoo as the Chairman of the Supervisory Board from 2014 to 2021.

Van Der Loo's educational career includes a propaedeuse in doctoraal from Erasmus University Rotterdam in Bestuurskunde, an ABN AMRO INSEAD Private Banking Certificate from INSEAD in trusted advisor curriculum, and an Advanced Management Program from INSEAD. Additionally, they have a propaedeuse from Erasmus University Rotterdam in Nederlands recht.
