Kapil Gupta

Founder, Advisor at Gemelli Biotech

Dr. Kapil Gupta has a long and distinguished career in the medical field. Kapil began their career as an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Minnesota in 2007, and then moved on to become an Interventional Gastroenterology at the Hennepin County Medical Center. In 2010, they joined Cedars-Sinai as an Adjunct Associate Professor, Physician in Pancreas, Bile Duct Diseases and Interventional Gastroenterology, and Clinical Chief of the Division of Gastroenterology. In 2016, Dr. Gupta became an advisor for Stasis Labs, and Co-founder and CEO of MedCircle Inc. In 2018, they founded Gemelli Biotech and became a Member of the Board of Directors for Inner-City Arts, where they also chaired the strategic planning committee. Most recently, in 2021, Dr. Gupta joined Boston Scientific as the Sr. Medical Director of Medical Affairs for Boston Scientific Endoscopy. Kapil has been extensively published in peer-reviewed articles and is the author of multiple Book Chapters and multiple video assets in the field of endoscopy.

Kapil Gupta completed their Doctor of Medicine (MD) from Delhi University from 1992 to 1999. Kapil then went on to do a residency in Internal Medicine Residency Program from 2000 to 2003 at the State University of New York Health Science Center at Brooklyn. Following this, they completed a fellowship in Gastroenterology at the same university from 2003 to 2006. During this time, they also earned a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree from the same university. In 2006, they completed a fellowship in Interventional Endoscopy from the University of Minnesota Medical School. Finally, in 2012, they earned a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from Northwestern University - Kellogg School of Management.
