Sakari Tamminen

Sakari Tamminen is a founding partner at Gemic since 2008, specializing in interpreting cultural, market, technology, and human condition shifts to help clients envision and shape their futures. In addition to this role, Sakari has held various academic positions, including UCD, CS, IX, and UX at HUT & UH, as well as a research fellow at IFZ - Interdisciplinary Research Centre for Technology, Work and Culture, and a Marie Curie Research Fellow at the University of York. Additionally, Sakari served as a university lecturer in User Centered Design at Teknillinen korkeakoulu-Tekniska högskolan and as a visiting researcher at the Swedish Institute of Computer Science. Sakari holds an Adjunct Professor degree in Science and Technology Studies from the University of Helsinki, a PhD in Social Psychology and Anthropology of Science and Technology from the same institution, and a Lic.Tech. as a pre-doctoral fellow in User-Centered Design and Interaction Design from Teknillinen korkeakoulu-Tekniska högskolan, along with studies at Universite Pierre Mendès France in Grenoble.
