Ander Wang

Ander Wang has worked in the technology industry since 2016. In 2016, they were a Summer Intern at the Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI), where they developed web crawlers for multiple shopping websites using Python, Selenium, MySQL, Django, and Heroku. Ander also parsed, cleaned, and transformed data formats and loaded them into MySQL daily. That same year, they were a Teaching Assistant at the National Chiao Tung University, where they taught Scala language, Apache Spark, and SparkMLlib. Ander also assisted students to run multiple local VMs on Hadoop clusters and run Spark cluster on AWS EC2. In 2018, they worked as a Software Engineer at Change Healthcare, where they developed automatically validating data quality pipelines in Java on AWS using Glue, S3, Lambda. Ander also designed testing models, strategy pattern, and builder pattern to adapt various data formats and testing targets. Ander also developed CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, TestNG, and Rundeck. That same year, they were a Backend Engineer at Watter Tech, where they researched and implemented faster density-based clustering algorithms in Scala which ran on Apache Spark to analyze user daily behavior and trajectory to discover safety zones for mobile users. Ander also optimized data selection algorithms to reduce 80% size of data without losing precision on trajectory maps and visualized user trajectories using GoogleMapAPI and matplotlib. In 2020, they worked as a Backend Engineer at Gemini Data Inc., where they developed graph query APIs on Neo4j with multi-tenant data sources in Kubernetes on AWS cloud. Ander also optimized graph API read performance by implementing multi-level caches to increase hit rate by 30%, and redesigned graph database queries to reduce compute time by 40%. Ander also designed lookup suggestion services to provide ability to parallel execute, better decoupling conditions, and fault tolerant.

Ander Wang obtained a Master's degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from National Chiao Tung University between 2015 and 2016. Ander obtained a Bachelor's degree in Management Information and System from National Sun Yat-Sen University between 2010 and 2015. Additionally, Ander Wang has obtained numerous certifications from various institutions, including Redis Labs, Coursera, and edX, between 2014 and 2021.
