Joanne Standring

Joanne Standring is a seasoned educational leader currently serving as the Wellington Senior Director for Growth and Performance at GEMS Education since September 2022. In this role, Joanne oversees a cluster of seven schools in Dubai and Qatar, focusing on professional growth, development, and performance. Prior to this, Joanne held multiple leadership positions, including Head of Learning and Teaching and Deputy Head Teacher, at GEMS Wellington International School from August 2017. Joanne also worked as an Associate Consultant for Karen Ardley Associates from September 2015 to August 2017, providing educational and leadership support. Earlier experience includes serving as Key Stage 2 Phase Leader and English Curriculum Leader at Community First Academy Trust from September 2012 to July 2017. Joanne holds a degree in Key Stage 2/3 Education from Edge Hill University, earned in May 2012.
