Kelvin Okamoto

Kelvin Okamoto has a diverse work experience in various companies. Kelvin currently serves as the CEO of Gen3Bio, Inc., where they focus on transforming algae produced in wastewater treatment into specialty chemicals. This has resulted in increased product yields, reduced capital requirements, and operating expenses.

In 2021, Kelvin took on the role of Chief Technical Officer at Green Dot Bioplastics, Inc., where they oversee technical aspects of the company.

Kelvin Okamoto completed their undergraduate studies at Stanford University from 1978 to 1982, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry. Kelvin then pursued further education at Cornell University from 1982 to 1986, where they obtained a PhD in Chemistry. In addition to their academic accomplishments, Kelvin has also obtained several certifications throughout their career. In 2004, they became a Registered Patent Agent through the United States Patent & Trademark Office (USPTO). In 2005, they were honored as a Service Member by SPE: Inspiring Plastics Professionals. Most recently, in 2020, Kelvin became an ASTM Approved Instructor (AIP) through ASTM International.
