Matthew Smith has a diverse work experience in the construction industry. Matthew started their career as an intern at Magellan Architects in 2011 and later interned at Exxel Pacific, Inc in 2012. In 2013, they joined M. A. Mortenson Company as a Project Engineer and worked their way up to become an Assistant Project Manager and then a Project Manager. From 2019, Matthew is working at GenCap Construction Corp, initially as a Senior Project Manager, then as a Project Executive, and currently holds the position of Vice President of Operations.

Matthew Smith attended Washington State University from 2008 to 2013, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Architecture and Construction Management.
