Tomaz Berisa has over a decade of work experience in the field of research and development. Tomaz began their career in 2007 as a Senior Research Assistant at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing, University of Zagreb. Later that same year, they became a Visiting Researcher at Télécom ParisTech. In 2012, they took on the role of Postdoctoral Fellow at Université du Québec - Institut national de la recherche scientifique. In 2013, they returned to the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing, University of Zagreb, this time as a Research and Development Scientist. In 2014, they moved to the New York Genome Center as a Data Scientist. Finally, in 2017, they became the CTO of Gencove.
Tomaz Berisa received their PhD in Telecommunications from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing at the University of Zagreb in 2010. Prior to that, they earned their Dipl. Ing. in Telecommunications from the same institution in 2007. Tomaz completed their secondary education at the XV. Gymnasium (MIOC) in 2002.
