Agust Egilsson

Agust Egilsson is an accomplished machine learning engineer and researcher with extensive experience in artificial intelligence and quantitative research. Currently serving as a Staff Machine Learning Engineer at GeneDx and a member of the Evil Canyon AI Institute, Agust has previously held significant roles, including AI Engineer at MyOme and Head of AI Research at Natera. Agust's career has been marked by leadership positions such as Founder of QuantCell Research and Director of Quantitative Research and Trading Support at Landsbankinn, alongside academic appointments as a Research Professor at the University of Iceland and Assistant Professor at the University of California, Berkeley. Agust holds a Ph.D. in Mathematics from the University of California, Berkeley, and a B.Sc. in Mathematics and Physics from Háskóli Íslands.
