Eulália Lima da Silva, PhD, is a Clinical Variant Scientist at GeneDx since January 2023, specializing in the curation, interpretation, and classification of copy number variations (CNVs) in accordance with ACMG guidelines. Prior to this role, Eulália worked at Sema4 from December 2019 to January 2023, where responsibilities included the daily curation of CNVs and the assessment of single nucleotide variants (SNVs) for carrier screening tests. Eulália's experience also includes a postdoctoral fellowship at the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation, where work focused on generating mammalian cell lines and collaborating on protocol development, and participation in the ASCB Biotech East program in June 2019. Eulália earned a PhD in Molecular Cell Biology from Universidade de São Paulo in 2014, having also completed a Master's degree in the same field at the same institution. Research experience encompasses significant work on HIV-1 and innate immune responses to pathogens.
