Theresa Erlenbach

Theresa Erlenbach currently serves as an Associate Clinical Variant Scientist at GeneDx, beginning in March 2025. Prior to this role, Theresa worked as a Bioinformatics PostDoc at Greenwood Genetic Center, where responsibilities included utilizing ONT long-read sequencing for genetic diagnosis of rare disorders. Theresa completed a PhD in Genetics at the University of Georgia - Franklin College of Arts and Sciences, during which involvement as a Graduate Research Assistant focused on evolutionary genomics projects in Drosophila. Additionally, experience includes an Undergraduate Research Assistant position at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, where research centered on meiotic drive and chromosomal adaptations, as well as a previous role as a Style Specialist at Michael Kors, enhancing customer shopping experiences. Educational background includes a Bachelor's degree in Biology with a minor in Bioinformatics from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
