Qin Yan possesses extensive experience in leadership roles within the biotechnology and engineering sectors. Currently serving as President at GeneMind Biosciences since July 2019, Qin previously held the position of Chief Executive Officer at Direct Genomics CO. Ltd. from July 2017 to July 2019, and was Senior Vice President & Director of Engineering at Shenzhen Direct Genomics Co. Ltd. from April 2015 to July 2017, overseeing R&D on Single Molecule Sequencer technology. Prior experience includes Deputy Director of the Institute of Digital Intelligent Equipment at Suzhou University of Science and Technology, focusing on biomimetic robotics and smart control, and Vice President & Chief Technology Officer at Suzhou Leadingtime Automation Technology Corporation, a startup developing CNC advertising machines. Academic credentials include a Ph.D. in Mechatronics and Robotics, as well as dual Bachelor's degrees in Machine Design Manufacture and Automation and Computer Science from the University of Science and Technology of China.
