Zhiliang Zhou

Zhiliang Zhou is an experienced professional in the field of optical engineering and biosciences, serving as the Chief Operating Officer and previously as VP of R&D and Director of X Lab at GeneMind Biosciences since November 2015. At GeneMind, Zhiliang Zhou has led multidisciplinary teams in innovative high-throughput sequencing technologies and has played a crucial role in developing the third-generation gene sequencer and TIRF microscope for DNA detection. Prior experience at the Chinese Academy of Sciences from August 2007 to November 2015 included leading research on computational imaging and overseeing the development of advanced imaging systems. Zhiliang Zhou's early career involved research assistant roles focusing on light field cameras and imaging spectrometry. Educationally, Zhiliang Zhou holds a PhD in Optical Engineering and a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, both from the University of Science and Technology of China.
