Antonio Rios

Antonio Rios is a highly skilled Research Technician II at Genentech, specializing in machine learning to enhance biological discovery in the Regev Lab. Prior experience includes serving as a Research Assistant at Stanford University, where contributions to the Engreitz Laboratory led to a co-authorship in Nature, focusing on genetic variations in the non-coding genome. Additional roles at Stanford involved grading for a calculus course and participation in an REU Summer Program in the Bioengineering Department, optimizing CRISPR-dCas12a systems. Antonio was also selected for an intensive biomedical research program at the Broad Institute and participated in programs aimed at supporting first-generation, low-income students at Stanford and Princeton. Currently pursuing dual PhDs in Medical Engineering and Medical Physics at both the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Harvard Medical School, following a Bachelor of Science in Bioengineering from Stanford University.
