Joseph Ham-Silvestre

Joseph Ham-Silvestre is an experienced professional currently serving as Principal People Experience Partner at Genentech since January 2024. Concurrently, Joseph holds a role as Board Director for the UC Berkeley Chicanx Latinx Alumni Association since January 2022, focusing on supporting students and alumni. Prior experience includes serving as Culture & People Strategy Senior Manager at Marqeta, where Joseph was instrumental in aligning HR strategy with business goals and enhancing employee engagement. Joseph also contributed to advocacy initiatives for LGBTQIA+ colleagues at Marqeta and previously led the Pride@SAP Chapter for Labs California. Earlier roles included managing recruitment and talent operations at SAP and Seneca Family of Agencies. Joseph earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Science and French Language from the University of California, Berkeley, and an M.B.A. in Organizational Development from the University of San Francisco.
