Louis Vermeulen

Louis Vermeulen currently holds the position of Vice President and Senior Fellow, Head of Discovery Oncology at Genentech since January 2023. Vermeulen also serves as a Professor of Molecular Oncology, Principal Investigator, and Medical Oncologist at Amsterdam UMC since 2014. Additional roles include Principal Investigator at Oncode Institute since 2019 and former Robinson Stem Cell Investigator at The New York Stem Cell Foundation Research Institute from January 2018 to January 2023. Previous experience includes leadership in Cancer Biology at Amsterdam UMC - Cancer Center Amsterdam and various research positions at Cambridge Research Institute - Cancer Research UK and Academic Medical Center Amsterdam, where Vermeulen completed a PhD in Experimental Oncology. Educational achievements include degrees in Medicine and Experimental Oncology from the University of Amsterdam and the University of Cambridge.
