Marlena Jackson is an experienced professional in diversity and inclusion, having served as a Senior Diversity and Inclusion Business Partner at Genentech from January 2006 to December 2021. In this role, Marlena focused on partnering with senior leaders to integrate diversity and inclusion into the business, leveraging data to drive actionable outcomes, and educating the organization to empower D&I initiatives. Prior to this, Marlena worked as a Diversity and Inclusion Talent Partner, where responsibilities included engaging academic leaders in STEM universities to enhance the pipeline of diverse talent for research and development. Additionally, Marlena is the Founder of NexGeneGirls, an organization dedicated to developing underrepresented young women in STEM fields. Marlena holds an Advanced Diversity and Inclusion Certificate from Cornell University ILR School and a Bachelor's Degree in Biology from the University of the Pacific.
