Vani Suvarna

Vani Suvarna is a seasoned attorney with extensive experience in the biotechnology, pharmaceutical, and medical device industries. Currently serving as Senior Director and Associate General Counsel at Genentech since August 2020, Vani has held various high-level legal positions, including Director at Gilead Sciences and Corporate Counsel at Verily Life Sciences. Prior experience includes serving as Counsel at Ropes & Gray LLP, where Vani provided strategic legal advice on complex transactions, and as Senior Counsel at Covidien. Vani began a career in law after earning a Doctor of Law (JD) from Boston College Law School, following a Bachelor’s degree from Brown University. Additionally, Vani has experience in education as a former math teacher and was a Fulbright Scholar.
