Yuta Asano is an immunologist with over 10 years of experience in human immunology and cell engineering. Having completed a Ph.D. in Immunology at the University of Chicago, Yuta studied B cell behavior in renal allograft rejection and contributed to groundbreaking research on TCR-T cell therapy for Merkel cell carcinoma during a postdoctoral tenure at Fred Hutch. Currently, as a Senior Scientist in the gRED Translational Medicine team at Genentech, following a merger with Poseida Therapeutics, Yuta continues to focus on the immune responses of patients treated with allogeneic CAR-T therapy.
