Vinayak also served as the Chief Financial Officer at Reliance Big Entertainment Pvt Ltd (Digital Business), BIG Flicks Pvt Limited, and Yahoo! India. Vinayak began their career as a Manager Accounts - Western Region at Lemuir Air Express.
Vinayak Pai completed their secondary education at St. Anne's High School, from 1978 to 1987. Vinayak then attended Chinai College of Commerce & Economics from 1988 to 1989, where they obtained their HSC with a focus on Economics & Accounting. Afterwards, they pursued a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) degree in Accounting and Finance at the University of Mumbai from 1989 to 1992. Finally, from 1993 to 1997, they attended the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, where they earned their A.C.A degree in Finance & Taxation.
