Sachchit Vekaria

Sachchit Vekaria has a diverse work experience that spans several roles and companies. Sachchit began their career at General Aeronautics Pvt Ltd as a Technologist from June 2017 to December 2017. In January 2018, they took on the role of Senior Engineer for a brief period before transitioning to the role of Product Manager (Agriculture UAV) in May 2018. As a Product Manager, they led the Agriculture UAS program from conceptual design to regulatory compliance and on-field deployment. Sachchit also developed an end-to-end solution for flow and particle size control mechanism for Agriculture UAS and implemented the NPNT workflow for DGCA compliance. From October 2020 to August 2021, Sachchit served as the Lead Engineer (New Product Dev), leading UAV development projects for Logistics and Defense clients. Sachchit worked on the development of conceptual design tools for in-house UAV design and led simulator development for Pilot Training and Controller development. Recently, in September 2021, Sachchit was promoted to the role of Chief Technology Officer at General Aeronautics Pvt Ltd. Additionally, they gained valuable experience through a summer internship at Temasek Laboratory@NUS in 2014, where they developed a model to analyze the effect of rainfall on aerodynamics of a wing using Open Source software OpenFOAM.

Sachchit Vekaria completed a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Gandhinagar from 2011 to 2015. Subsequently, from 2015 to 2017, they pursued a Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay.
