General Board of Global Ministries
Tyler Ward serves as the Executive Officer at the General Board of Global Ministries since May 2021, with previous roles in mission appropriations and operations, as well as senior accounting. Tyler is also an Ordained Elder and Provisional Elder with the Northern Illinois Conference of The United Methodist Church since July 2020. Previous positions include Treasurer, Executive Minister, and Director of Discipleship Ministries and Youth Ministries at North Decatur United Methodist Church from July 2015 to April 2023, as well as Grants Finance Consultant for the United Methodist Committee on Relief from March 2020 to May 2021. Additionally, Tyler has experience as a Student Ambassador at Emory University and various roles at North Central College, including Resident Assistant and Tutor. Educational achievements include a Master of Divinity from Emory University and a Bachelor of Arts in Religious Studies from North Central College.
