Rana Banankhah

Venture Fellow at General Catalyst

Rana Banankhah is currently serving as a Venture Fellow at General Catalyst, specializing in investments in student founders. Prior experience includes roles as a Growth and Operations Intern at Bandana, Co-Organizer for the independent recruiting event Internapalooza, and Sales Development Intern at 2Sigma School, an edtech startup. Rana has also contributed to educational governance as a Board Member of the California State Board of Education and a Student Board Member for Modesto City Schools. Additionally, Rana co-founded the Modesto Youth Commission and worked as an Organizing Fellow on Josh Harder's Congressional Campaign. Under the NASA TI Codes Contest, Rana's team secured second place nationally for developing a 3D printer filament extruder to recycle plastic on the International Space Station. Educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Product Design from Stanford University and an International Baccalaureate Diploma from Modesto High School.
