Ann McKechin

Ann McKechin currently serves as the Vice Chair and Non-executive Board member of Public Health Scotland, and is the Chair of the Remuneration Committee. Ann holds multiple roles including Independent Chair of the Advisory Board at the Scottish Prison Service, Non Executive Director at Smart Energy GB, and Lay Member of the Hearings Panel at the General Optical Council. Additionally, Ann is a Senior Associate Consultant at BTA (Bruce Tait Associates), and serves as a Lay Member for both the Professional Conduct Committee and the Health Committee at the General Chiropractic Council. Ann previously held the position of Head of Corporate Social Responsibility at ScottishPower, where strategic oversight of stakeholder engagement and community partnerships was provided. Ann also acted as Executive Officer and Trustee at the ScottishPower Foundation and worked as a self-employed consultant for the Westminster Foundation for Democracy. Ann's early career includes a role as a Legal Executive at Brown & Co. Solicitors. Educational credentials include an LLB in Scots Law from the University of Strathclyde.
