Tricia Baker

Tricia Baker, SPHR has extensive experience in human resources. Tricia is currently the Executive Director of Human Resources at the General Council on Finance and Administration of The United Methodist Church, a position they have held since March 2022. Prior to this, they served as the Director of Human Resources at the same organization from October 2017 to March 2022, and as the Human Resources Manager from November 2016 to October 2017.

Before joining the General Council on Finance and Administration of The United Methodist Church, Tricia worked at Direct General Auto Insurance as the Human Resources Manager from February 2015 to November 2016, and as the Human Resources Generalist from July 2011 to February 2015.

Tricia also has experience at Goodwill Industries of Middle Tennessee, where they worked as a Human Resources Consultant from December 2010 to July 2011, and as a Human Resources Generalist from May 2010 to December 2010. In addition, Tricia served as a Human Resources Intern at Goodwill Industries of Middle Tennessee for a brief period in June 2009.

Tricia's early career includes a role as a Graduate Assistant at Western Kentucky University from August 2008 to May 2010.

Throughout their career, Tricia Baker, SPHR has gained diverse experience in human resources, ranging from managerial roles to consulting positions.

Tricia Baker, SPHR, holds a Master's degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from Western Kentucky University, which they earned from 2008 to 2010. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor's degree in Psychology at Murray State University from 2005 to 2008. In addition to their education, Tricia has also obtained the Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification from the HR Certification Institute - HRCI.
