Perttu Henttonen is the Chief Intellectual Property Counsel at General Electric. Perttu has held this position since October 2015.

Perttu previously worked as the Director of Licensing & IP Legal at ALSTOM Technology Ltd from March 2014 to October 2015. Prior to that, they were with GE Steam Power and Wärtsilä Development & Financial Services Oy, where they served as General Counsel from April 2003 to December 2006 and again from January 2007 to February 2014.

Perttu began their career as an attorney at Thelen Reid & Priest in January 2001, before moving to Wärtsilä Switzerland Ltd in January 2007. Perttu remained there until December 2003, when they joined Wärtsilä Corporation as Group Legal Counsel. Perttu held this position until December 2010, when they were promoted to Director, License Contracts, Legal & Compliance.

Perttu Henttonen completed their Master of Laws (LL.M.) at the University of Helsinki.
