Shawna Meyer

Shawna Meyer currently serves as the President and CEO of North American Life and Health at GE since April 2019, where leadership responsibilities encompass strategic and operational oversight. Previously, Shawna held the position of Chief Actuary at Nationwide for a brief period from September 2018 to April 2019. A significant portion of Shawna's career was spent at New York Life Insurance Company, where the role of Vice President was held from May 2009 to September 2018. Prior to that, Shawna was a Consulting Actuary at Actuarial Resources Corporation (2007-2009), and also served as Vice President and Actuary at Ceres Group (2004-2007). Shawna's early career included an Associate Actuary position at Physicians Mutual from 1997 to 2004. Shawna earned a degree from the University of Nebraska at Omaha between 1992 and 1996.
