Sophie Maycock is an experienced communications professional currently serving as the Strategic Communications Manager at the General Medical Council since March 2019, having previously worked as a Campaigns Officer. Prior to this role, Sophie spent nearly seven years at Citypress as an Account Manager. Earlier experience includes a brief role as a TEFL Teacher and Activity Leader at the Cambridge Education Group and a work placement at Weber Shandwick in 2012. Sophie holds a degree in English, with a focus on Language, Literature, and Creative Writing, from Sheffield Hallam University, where education was completed from 2009 to 2012. Sophie's early education was at Glossopdale Community College.
