Jaswant Garcha

Jaswant Garcha possesses extensive experience in electronics and mechanical engineering, primarily within the automotive industry. Currently serving as Manager of Electronics Mechanical & Thermal Engineering at General Motors, Jaswant is responsible for developing strategies for Electronics Control Units (ECUs) and leading a skilled team in creating innovative and reliable designs. Previously, as a Global Technical Expert/Specialist in Semiconductors, Jaswant executed System on Chip (SoC) design strategies for Software Defined Vehicles. Prior roles include Core Electronics Design Lead Engineer at Ford Motor Company, where responsibilities included overseeing the Motor Driver Controller Module for several electric vehicle models, and Power Systems Lead Designer at Research In Motion, focusing on power systems architecture for mobile devices. Early career experience includes serving as an Advanced Analog Design Engineer at ComDev Ltd, leading the development of low power electronics for satellite applications. Jaswant holds a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Concordia University and a Master of Technology from Punjab Agricultural University.
