John McDougall

John McDougall is an experienced design professional with a focus on innovative automotive and product design. Since 2010, John has served as Design Manager - Product and Mobility at General Motors, leading efforts towards creating zero-emission, zero-crash, and zero-congestion mobility solutions, including the development of the Cruise Origin, a mass-produced shared autonomous vehicle. Prior to this role, John was Chief Creative Officer at BogoBrush from 2011 to 2022, where attention was directed toward sustainable and aesthetically pleasing toothbrush design. Earlier experiences include an internship at DEKA Research & Development, collaborating on clean-water machines with Dean Kamen, and a design internship at Peugeot, where focus was placed on future interior designs. John holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Industrial Design from the College for Creative Studies and furthered education at Strate, Ecole de Design.
