Naomi Johnson

Naomi Johnson is a Design Release Engineer specializing in Movable Roof and Roof Trim Systems at General Motors since July 2025. With a strong background in motorsport, Naomi has served as a Flagging and Communications Marshall for the Sports Car Club of America, Inc. since June 2021, working at various professional racing events. During academic tenure at the University of Toronto, Naomi held the position of Accumulator Mechanical Lead for the University of Toronto Formula Racing team, alongside roles as a senior member of the chassis subteam. Previous experience includes mechanical engineering internships at Litens Automotive Group, where Naomi contributed to the design and testing of aftermarket tensioners, and at KAV, focusing on production optimization and quality improvement. Early career experience includes running impact testing for safety equipment and teaching swimming at King's Swim Academy. Naomi Johnson holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Toronto, with studies spanning from 2020 to 2025.
