Sterling Anderson

Sterling Anderson is a co-founder at Aurora Innovation since December 2016, bringing extensive experience in autonomous vehicle technology. Prior to this role, Sterling served as the Director of Autopilot Programs at Tesla from January 2014 to January 2016, where leadership led to the successful delivery of Tesla Autopilot and the design and launch of the award-winning Model X. Earlier career stages included positions as an Engagement Manager at McKinsey & Company and co-founder at Gimlet Systems, focusing on advanced vehicle systems. Additionally, Sterling contributed to innovative research at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where a PhD and MS in Robotics were earned, resulting in patented advancements in motion planning and safety for passenger vehicles.
