Xiaoping Li

Xiaoping Li currently serves as the Engineering Director and Software Engineer at General Motors since April 2024, leading the GM/Cruise AI Platform organization focused on self-driving technology. Prior to this role, Xiaoping Li was an Engineering Leader at Apple from August 2016 to April 2024, overseeing engineering teams for cloud platforms that support billions of users. Earlier experience includes a position as a Software Engineer at Talkatone from January 2015 to July 2016, where development of distributed systems for real-time communication was achieved, and a role as a Software Engineer at SAP Ariba from July 2014 to January 2015, focusing on automation frameworks for mobile development. Xiaoping Li holds a Bachelor's degree and a Master's degree in Electrical, Electronics and Communications Engineering from Beihang University and The Johns Hopkins University, respectively.
