Mazen Abouchakra

Mazen Abouchakra is a regional director at Gen Re. Mazen has over 25 years of experience in the insurance industry. Mazen has worked in treasury sales, hedging, and risk management. Mazen has also worked as a group representative and health actuary.

Mazen Abouchakra graduated with a Master of Science from Georgia State University in Investment and Decision Science. Mazen then went on to earn their Doctorate in Business Administration from ESA BUSINESS SCHOOL in Management & Marketing. Afterwards, they completed a Mastere en Finance from ESCP Business School in Finance. Finally, they earned their Financial Engineering degree from ESA BUSINESS SCHOOL in Finance and Islamic banking. Prior to their graduate studies, Mazen Abouchakra obtained their BBA from Georgia State University - J. Mack Robinson College of Business in Finance and Actuarial Science. Mazen also holds a Baccalauréat from Lycée Buffon Paris XV in Bac D Biologie & Math.

They are on a team with Tuan Miang Chua - Head of Region ASEAN, China, HK & India, Andrew D’Arcy - Head of International Property & Casualty, and Jason Cooper-Williams - Joint Managing Director. Mazen Abouchakra reports to Kara Raiguel, President & CEO.
