Bret Martin

Bret Martin has extensive work experience in various roles within the technology industry. Bret is currently working as a Principal Cloud Architect at Generate:Biomedicines. Prior to this, they served as a Principal Research Computing Architect at H3 Biomedicine for six years. Before that, they worked as an Infrastructure Engineer at HubSpot for a year. Bret also held significant positions at Harvard Medical School, where they worked as a Senior Research Systems Architect and a Senior UNIX Systems Administrator. Bret has also worked as a Systems Engineer at VA Linux Systems, Director of Technical Operations at Student.Com and TVGrid.Com, Software Engineer at Hewlett-Packard, Technical Director at LEAP Computer Learning Center, Systems Administrator at Yale University, and had a brief stint in Network Engineering Services at Nortel Information Networks.

Bret Martin graduated from Yale University in 1997 with a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Science. Prior to attending Yale, Bret Martin completed their high school education at Princeton High School in 1993. In addition to their formal education, Bret Martin also obtained several certifications in the field of AWS (Amazon Web Services). These certifications include AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in 2021, AWS Certified Advanced Networking – Specialty in 2018, AWS Certified Security – Specialty in 2018, and AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional in 2016.
