Heather van Epps

Heather Van Epps is an accomplished biochemist with extensive experience in therapeutic research and biology. Currently serving as the Executive Director and Head of Experimental Therapeutic Biology at Generate Biomedicines since June 2022, Heather previously held key positions at Seagen, including Research Director for Early-Stage Clinical Programs and Associate Director of Antibody Discovery, where responsibilities involved building research teams and connecting clinical insights to research innovation. Heather's academic career includes roles as an Assistant Professor at Western Washington University, focusing on pre-mRNA processing research, and a University of California President's Postdoctoral Research Fellow. Heather earned a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from the University of Washington and a B.S. in Biochemistry from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
