Kaipei (Edward) Chen is an experienced finance and sustainability professional with a strong background in renewable energy and impact investing. Currently serving as an Associate in Portfolio Finance at Generate, Kaipei has previously held roles at Idemitsu Renewables as an Analyst in Project Finance, where responsibilities included developing financial models and conducting due diligence. An inaugural Impact Investing Fellow at Impact Bread, Kaipei conducted market research and impact assessment for sustainable consumer goods. Academic experience includes a Graduate Teaching Assistant position at Stanford University, alongside internships and research roles that analyzed energy technologies and sustainability practices. Kaipei holds a Master of Science in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Stanford University and a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Engineering from Cornell University.
