Elvira Lou Stirba

Elvira Lou Stirba is a Process Engineer II at Generation Bio since June 2021, focusing on process scale-up for LNP-based DNA gene therapy drug products. Previous roles include Process Engineer I and Associate Scientist within the CMC department, where Elvira contributed to developing and transferring non-viral gene therapy processes to GMP standards, performing bioprocessing operations, and maintaining SF9 cell cultures. Prior experience includes an In Vitro Cell Biologist position at AbbVie and research roles at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth, including designing peptide-based nanocarriers. Elvira holds a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering and Biotechnology and Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering, respectively, from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. Additional experience includes retail roles as a Sales Associate and Stock Associate.
