Hak J. then pursued further education and obtained a Ph.D. in Biological Sciences from Carnegie Mellon University, where they studied from 1997 to 2001. After a brief break, they continued their education at Suffolk University Law School and earned a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree in Law from 2004 to 2007.
