Jodi is a research neuropsychologist, with specific expertise in NeuroAIDS and structural imaging of the brain, at MIMH. Her work consists of local and international studies of NeuroAIDS in both pediatric and adult populations.
Dr. Heaps-Woodruff collaborates with researchers at Washington University school of medicine on cognition and brain imaging in inflammatory and genetic disorders. She has developed research protocols and statistical analysis plans, designed neuropsychological batteries, and created databases for integration of clinical, neuroimaging, and neuropsychological data.
Since joining the MIMH, Dr. Heaps-Woodruff has expanded her work to evaluate the Healthcare Home Initiative of MOHealthNet. This initiative is designed to enhance and integrate health care among individuals with mental health concerns and chronic disease, or multiple chronic illnesses. Through qualitative and quantitative analyses, she describes changes in the system of care as well as indicators of improved disease management.
